The volunteers at the Animal Shelter are not just people who come to help, for us they are family. A loving and supportive family, and together we rescue and care for the animals.

Our volunteers do everything for the animals. They clean their cages, treat parasites, give medication according to the veterinarian's instructions, pull weeds to protect them from snakes, drive them to different locations, and even guide families who come to the organization about which dogs would be suitable for adoption. Our volunteers are very attached to the dogs, hugging and petting them, and pampering them with delicious snacks.

You can volunteer at the organization Sunday-Thursday between 12:00 and 15:00, and on Fridays and Saturdays between 11:00 and 16:00.
The organization accepts volunteers starting at age 14. Those ages 14-18 are required to come the first time with a parent to sign a volunteer form. Adults over age 18 and up sign the volunteer form themselves. Volunteers are not obligated to set volunteer hours and can come whenever they are convenient.

We will also be happy to welcome National Service members and students on a scholarship basis.
